EADT

EADTI noticed something rather disturbing when I visited my local Sainsburys recently, they were selling The East Anglian Daily Times. Correct me if I'm wrong but we live in Norfolk, right? So why would anyone want to buy a copy of a newspaper for the deluded football fans in Suffolk? Would you expect to be able to buy The Eastern Daily Press if you were living in Suffolk? No, of course you wouldn't. So why would anyone need a copy of the East Anglian Daily Times in Norfolk?

If the unthinkable has happened and there are Ipswich fans living in my area they should either take out a subscription to the newspaper or get off their arses and travel to Suffolk where they will be in their element with all the choice of stockists. The EADT also has a website where they can buy a digital copy of the publication for 70p. The fact I saw a large bundle of unsold copies in a trolley near the toilets in Sainsburys surely suggests that fortunately there are no Scummers living in my area and there is no need for them to stock the EADT.

However, just in case there are some Scummers looking for the paper and you see it on sale, grab some copies of The Mirror or ideally one of the broadsheets such as The Times and cover up the EADT's. Hopefully then Sainsburys will see sense and stop stocking it.

I was horrified to discover that Roys of Wroxham also stock it and therefore decided to take action. I grabbed some copies of the Financial Times and placed them over the top of the EADT's. I will do exactly the same thing if I see them on sale anywhere else and you should do the same!
